SkyWater has partnered with a diversified enterprise to attract and hire a new Vice President of Information Technology. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will serve as the organization’s senior-most IT and security authority, guiding strategy, operations, and innovation across all technical operations in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-wide leadership as the senior-most IT and cybersecurity executive.
  • Develop and execute IT and security strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee IT and security operations for both corporate and utility business units (~30 team members total).
  • Maintain and continuously advance a strong cybersecurity program, ensuring resilience, compliance, and risk management.
  • Partner with executive leadership and the board to align technology initiatives with business strategy.
  • Drive innovation in areas such as AI adoption, data analytics, and digital transformation.
  • Lead by influence across decentralized business units, balancing enterprise strategy with local needs.
  • Represent IT and cybersecurity in external, regulatory, and stakeholder interactions.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of professional experience; MBA preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in IT, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology strategy.
  • Track record of operating at a senior leadership or executive level (VP, CIO, CISO, or Sr. Director equivalent).
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing multi-disciplinary IT teams.
  • Experience aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively at the board and C-suite level.
  • Ability to lead within decentralized or matrixed organizations, influencing without direct authority.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and implement emerging technologies to drive business growth.
  • Local to Fergus Falls, or ability to work onsite three days per week in addition to some travel
