We are excited to partner with one of the most exciting organizations in the SMB space in Minnesota to identify their next Vice President of Sales. Winners of nearly any award you can name: #1 Fastest Growing Company in MN, multiple Best Place to Work awards, EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalists, etc., this growing $75M+ organization is looking for a talented sales leader to join their executive leadership team, leading a team of 20.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Sales will help drive their continued growth into the Fortune 500 space, 85%+ of which they already work with. It is a critical role that will oversee the organization’s sales strategies and efforts to strengthen their market position and achieve their aggressive business goals.

The chose candidate will have a competitive compensation package that includes a strong base salary, annual bonus target, long-term incentive plan, as well as a robust benefits package.

*** This role is local to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the executive leadership team works in the office at their new headquarters regularly. The organization allows for a hybrid work arrangement; candidates looking for a remote arrangement will not be considered. ***


- Work closely with President to exceed near and long-term sales goals - Participate in quarterly and annual planning of the company’s objectives and strategies, as a member of the SLT - Grow and expand the organization's enterprise customers through prospecting and referrals from existing buyers within existing customer-companies. - Work closely with reps to build account plans - Lead the coaching and training of members within the sales organization - Own the sales pipeline and have intimate deal knowledge of largest deals including helping reps land deals - Create a high level of accountability and is willing to have tough and honest conversations with reps, move underperforming reps out, bring new talent in and foster a culture of high performers. - Collaborate across departments including Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, HR, and Operations - Understand the organization's key differentiators in the market and use them to help the team sell - Partner closely with Director of Data, Development, and Sales Operations on the CRM and customer data to derive insights from customer data (demographic, psychographic, and past purchasing behavior) and apply those insights into action for the Sales Organization. - Partner closely with the Director of Data, Development, and Sales Operations on web development projects related to top enterprise customer requests and prioritize projects that will drive incremental customer value - Partner closely with VP of Marketing to create presentations and execute account-based marketing plans for top enterprise accounts

Desired Skills and Experience

- An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, Marketing or a related field; an MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus. - 15+ years of B2B sales leadership experience as a VP of Sales, Director of Sales, or other senior role, with a preference of at least one experience successfully growing a business though sales strategies created and executed as a leader - Experience building and managing a team of 20+ people - Deep skills in CRM and B2B sales, leveraging data and analytics to drive sales growth - A proven track record of aligning the organization and owners around the company’s sales strategy, while building a symbiotic partnership with customer and supplier partners - A proven track record of close partnership with Marketing, Operations and Customer Service Leadership to launch and execute successful sales campaigns - Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing environment; must be entrepreneurial at heart - Demonstrated strength in conceptual strategy and execution while still maintaining a roll-up-your-sleeves management style - Innovative and creative thinking with strong storytelling capabilities - Highly resourceful – finds ways to creatively stretch resources and capital
