If you could give your younger self advice, what advice would you give?

Develop technical expertise early on in your career – specifically within an area you’re naturally curious about. Take pride in doing that one thing and doing it well. You don’t have to stay in that field forever – but if you focus on being really good at that one thing, your professional relationships, connections, and income will grow naturally. And from there, opportunities will abound.

What three words describe a great leader?

Authentic, trustworthy, and leads by example.

What are your favorite roles to work on?

Leadership positions are always enjoyable to work on. The stakes are higher, and so is the pressure – but for me, I’m at my best when I know that my client is depending on me to help them fill a critical role. And, when you ultimately find the right candidate, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the exponential impact they can have on a client’s business.
