Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Development leads a team dedicated to enhancing supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in alignment with company objectives. This role involves overseeing strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier quality management, and project management processes related to materials. The incumbent collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure material sourcing supports new product development and product enhancement goals. Additionally, they play a pivotal role in evaluating and mitigating procurement risks, fostering sustainable material practices, and fostering supplier relationships. This position supports various facets of operations, including procurement, production, and risk management.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain Development and Management team members.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate processes to enhance supply chain efficiency, sustainability, and risk management.
• Advocate for and implement sustainable material practices.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Ensure the implementation of effective supply chain quality practices.
• Oversee supplier development processes to ensure effectiveness.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, cost negotiation, and risk mitigation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and potential supply partners in the fenestration supply chain landscape.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Collaborative and supportive leadership style, fostering trust across functions and departments.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in conflict resolution.
• Proficiency in MRP systems or ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Education / Experience
