Material Planning Manager
We are looking for a Material Planning Manager to lead raw material planning across multiple food manufacturing sites. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient availability of materials to support production, while balancing inventory targets and service levels. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, perishable goods environment, a strong history working within SAP, and a proven ability to lead and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead material planning operations across multiple manufacturing locations, aligning plans with production schedules and inventory objectives.
- Manage and develop a team of planners, setting clear expectations and supporting professional growth.
- Utilize SAP to maintain accurate planning data, including safety stocks, lead times, and material master records.
- Partner with sourcing and procurement to support supplier alignment on lead times, MOQ, and delivery reliability.
- Monitor and report key metrics such as fill rate, inventory turns, and material availability; identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot material availability issues, coordinate resolutions, and communicate impacts to stakeholders as needed.
- Support the monthly S&OP process by ensuring material forecasts are current and aligned with demand signals.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across planning functions to support scalability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- APICS certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in material planning with at least 3 years in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Hands-on experience with SAP
- Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally.
