Lauren Swartout, J.D.

Practice Director, Legal

As the Practice Director at SkyWater Search, Lauren leads the legal recruiting division. This division focuses on the placement of full-time attorneys and legal professionals within law firms and corporate legal departments. She works with attorneys in a broad range of practice areas including, but not limited to, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, patent prosecution, healthcare, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and employment law. Lauren specializes in executive retained search.

Lauren enjoys building and maintaining trust-based relationships with clients and candidates in the legal industry. She is passionate about helping fellow attorneys find their ideal professional fit based on experience, specific skill sets, personalities, and long-term career goals.

Lauren earned her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and B.A from Gustavus Adolphus College. Before transitioning into attorney recruiting, she practiced law at a mid-sized litigation firm in Minneapolis.
