Senior Associate, Accounting & Finance - Chicago

Courtney Johnson is a Senior Associate on SkyWater Search Partners’ Accounting & Finance team, where she specializes in direct hire placements of finance and accounting professionals across the greater Chicago area. With a background in both public accounting and recruiting, she brings a thoughtful, consultative approach to helping clients build high-performing teams.

Courtney began her career at PwC, where she spent over four years in the audit practice working with public and private companies across a variety of industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, and real estate. She then joined Robert Half, where she spent three years in their direct hire division, first as a Recruiting Manager and later as a Practice Director leading a team focused on Accounting & Finance placements.

Originally from Yankton, South Dakota, Courtney earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of South Dakota. She now lives in Anoka with her husband and their three rescue pets—two cats, Hypnos and Hermes, and their dog, Nut.

Outside of work, Courtney and her husband enjoy traveling, cheering on Minnesota sports teams, and attending concerts. She also serves as the head coach of the Champlin Park dance team.
