Associate, Sales

As an Associate at SkyWater Search, Kari currently works with a “full desk” on the Sales recruiting team. The SkyWater Sales team focuses on growth-oriented, middle-market companies based in the Midwest.

Within this team, Kari focuses in recruiting and placing top sales talent in full-time, permanent positions:

• Vice President of Sales
• Director of Sales
• Sales Manager
• Regional Sales Manager
• Territory Manager
• Sales Engineer

Kari brings a unique blend of recruiting and sales expertise to SkyWater Search Partners, with a particular focus on Sales, and the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. She began her career in recruiting shortly after graduating from St. Cloud State University, later transitioning into CPG roles with well-known companies such as Del Monte Foods and Energizer Personal Care. There, she held positions in Account Management and as a Senior Sales Analyst, supporting major retailers including Target and Supervalu (now UNFI).

Most recently, Kari worked in video game distribution, managing accounts with Walmart while at COKeM International and with Amazon during her time at Strategic Marketing Partners. Her well-rounded background allows her to bring a strategic, informed approach to placing top talent in the CPG space.

Originally from St. Joseph, Minnesota, Kari now lives in Eden Prairie, where she has called home for nearly 20 years. She’s a proud mom to three daughters—one entering high school and twin girls heading into 4th grade. The family also includes their resilient cat, Stubby Tate, who lives happily with Twisted Leg Syndrome.

Outside of work, Kari enjoys reading, writing, photography, fitness, genealogy, and home improvement projects. She’s also an avid thrifter who loves the thrill of a good flea market find. When she’s not recruiting, you can find her spending time outdoors, watching movies and TV series, traveling, or enjoying quality time with friends and family.
