Global Corporate Controller
SkyWater SkyWater is excited to officially launch a Global Controller search with a privately held industrial technology manufacturer headquartered in Bloomington, MN. This is a newly created, high-impact role reporting directly to the CFO, designed to unify and elevate accounting operations across a growing global footprint that includes the U.S., U.K., France, India, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
Following a successful divestiture from a Fortune 100 parent, the company is entering an ambitious growth phase fueled by acquisitions and expanding international operations across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The Global Controller will lead controllers and accounting teams across multiple countries, establish standardized global accounting practices, streamline close and reporting processes, and play a key role in integrating newly acquired entities (including Houston and Saudi Arabia).
Success in year one will include faster closes, consistent global policies, seamless acquisition integration, and stronger alignment across international teams. Responsibilities
- Support business development, financial diligence, and purchase accounting
- Coordinate with Financial Planning for leadership and PE requests
- Collaborate with team to solve problems and develop staff
- Promote culture of continuous improvement and high performance
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, financial controls, and guidelines
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting (US GAAP)
- Provide financial updates to senior management and parent entity
- Lead monthly review of reporting units and performance reports
- Drive process improvements and organizational initiatives
- Oversee monthly close, year-end audit, and statutory filings
Desired Skills and Experience
- Proven accounting and finance leader with 10+ years of progressive experience in global organizations, including 5+ years within a large U.S. public accounting firm preferred
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, with the ability to lead annual audits, manage external auditors, and resolve complex technical accounting matters
- CPA strongly preferred, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Solid working knowledge of U.S. and international tax regulations, including compliance and reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience with financial consolidation systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
