A growing, privately held industrial manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and help drive manufacturing process excellence.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead projects to optimize processes, create routings, and support continuous improvement across multiple product lines by collaborating with production, automation, and quality teams. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

This is an on-site role within a collaborative, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including routings, set-up sheets, and instructions.
  • Collaborate closely with automation, production, and quality teams to implement improvements and solve manufacturing challenges.
  • Support equipment setup, tool selection, and fixture design to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput, yield, and overall performance.
  • Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Assist in evaluating new equipment, materials, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to support new product launches and process standardization.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, assembly, and process documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with automation teams and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and suppliers.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
