Operations Manager
A global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a key production facility in the Minneapolis area. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, engineering, planning, and customer service. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in strengthening operational performance, improving delivery and quality metrics, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This is a highly visible leadership position with direct influence on site performance and long-term operational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations including production, quality, engineering, scheduling, purchasing coordination, and customer service
- Establish and manage key performance indicators to drive accountability, improve efficiency, and measure plant performance
- Improve on-time delivery, production output, quality performance, and overall operational efficiency
- Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to align with customer demand and capacity
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and operational teams to strengthen performance and engagement
- Drive structured daily management processes and operational reviews to ensure alignment and execution
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and improve overall plant performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- 10+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience
- Prior experience as an Operations Manager, Plant Manager, or similar manufacturing leadership role
- Strong background in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational performance management
- Proven ability to improve operational metrics such as delivery, quality, productivity, and efficiency
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
