IT Specialist
SkyWater Search is partnering with a Minneapolis-based engineering and manufacturing organization that designs and delivers complex mechanized structural systems for large-scale projects to find an IT Support Specialist (full-time).
This is a foundational, hands-on role for someone who wants to own day-to-day IT operations in a growing environment that is actively investing in IT systems, ERP modernization, and business intelligence initiatives. The position will work closely with an external MSP while gradually building internal IT capability.
Key Requirements:
- Strong generalist IT background (7+ years) across helpdesk, systems administration, and end-user support
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows environments, and basic networking
- Comfort acting as a “jack of all trades” supporting hardware, software, onboarding/offboarding, and tickets end-to-end
- Ability to coordinate with MSPs and manage escalations, vendor relationships, and IT support workflows
- Exposure to IT projects such as ERP systems, cloud migrations, or business application support is a plus
- Strong communication skills with ability to support non-technical users in an engineering-heavy environment
- Willingness to work fully onsite in the West Metro

Desired Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of IT support or systems administration experience in a hands-on environment
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and Active Directory
- Experience supporting end-user devices (desktops, laptops, printers) and managing helpdesk tickets
- Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues (DNS, DHCP, connectivity) and support core infrastructure
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days/week in the West metro
