Human Resources Director
Our client is a well-established organization with a strong operational footprint and a collaborative, team-oriented culture. The company is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR leader to oversee all aspects of Human Resources while serving as a key member of the Leadership Team.
The Director of Human Resources will lead the overall HR strategy and execution for the organization, overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, payroll oversight, workers’ compensation, return to work programs, compliance, organizational development, and HR operations.
This individual will partner closely with leadership to support business objectives while fostering a positive, high-performing, and employee-focused culture. The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational, with the ability to influence leaders, drive organizational initiatives, and remain hands-on in day-to-day HR functions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities -Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and company values -Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, organizational development, and people strategy -Lead recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives -Oversee employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes -Coach leaders on employee management, engagement, and development strategies -Support leadership development, training initiatives, and organizational effectiveness programs -Oversee payroll processes, compensation programs, and benefits administration to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance -Manage workers’ compensation claims, return to work programs, and modified duty processes -Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations -Maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, reporting, and employment records -Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives -Reinforce a positive, respectful, and safety-focused workplace culture -Partner with executive leadership as a key member of the Leadership Team to support overall business objectives -Lead and develop the HR function while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented approach across the organization
Desired Skills and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field -10–12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment -Strong background in employee relations, payroll oversight, compliance, and HR operations -Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and influence business outcomes -Experience leading HR teams and organizational initiatives -Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
