SkyWater is partnering with a well-established industrial safety equipment manufacturer hiring its first-ever North American Sales Manager. The President has been carrying national sales responsibility alongside other executive duties and is ready to hand it off. This is a ground-floor leadership role at a profitable, technically driven niche manufacturer with decades of market presence. The right person will own the number, lead a small field team, and build on a strong foundation including a real knowledge transfer from two retiring senior reps.

Candidates with backgrounds in food manufacturing, animal feed, grain handling, wood products, or industrial fixed fire suppression will find the customer base and selling environment immediately familiar. This is an education-based sale where technical credibility wins accounts and keeps them. Total compensation is $210K-$230K+.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the annual North American sales plan; report directly to President
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 field sales reps (expanding to 5)
  • Manage a national network of independent manufacturer reps and electromechanical integrators
  • Balance team activity across short-cycle closes, active proposals, and long-range pipeline development
  • Coordinate with inside sales and engineering at HQ when not in the field
  • Coach team on technical communication and customer presentations
  • Monitor and report on pipeline health and forecast accuracy

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years technical industrial sales, including prior management of field reps and/or independent rep networks
  • Proven track record owning and delivering an annual sales plan
  • Background selling capital or technical equipment into food, feed, agribusiness, or industrial manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of combustible dust environments, dust collection, material handling, or industrial fixed fire suppression systems
  • Strong presenter, comfortable hosting events and coaching others
  • NFPA combustible dust standards knowledge a significant advantage
