Senior Financial Analyst
We are partnering with a growing insurance organization to identify a Senior Financial Analyst to join their expanding finance team in the Twin Cities.
This is a highly visible role supporting enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic decision-making initiatives. The organization is actively investing in finance systems, analytics tools, and reporting capabilities, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys building processes, improving visibility, and influencing business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, operational initiatives, and overall business performance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for leadership, including executive summaries, trend analysis, and key business insights.
- Analyze forecast-to-actual results, identify key performance drivers, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operational and business partners to evaluate financial performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and ongoing financial planning activities.
- Assist with long-term planning, profitability analysis, and scenario modeling to support organizational growth initiatives.
- Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analyses, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Partner across departments to ensure alignment between financial objectives and broader business strategies.
- Assist with compliance, regulatory, and reporting requirements as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of FP&A or strategic finance experience
- Insurance or financial services industry exposure preferred
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong communication and executive presentation capabilities
- Experience with ERP/reporting tools such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, or Power BI
