Salary up to $120,000 + bonus
Hybrid – onsite 2-3 days a week
We are partnering with a PE-backed waste and recycling company in North Mankato, MN to hire an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function across a growing, multi-location platform.
This role is a great fit for an experienced accounting professional who wants to lead a team, stay close to the work, and have real influence over how finance runs across a complex, operationally driven business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the grey and is excited about building and improving processes in a dynamic environment. There is a clear growth path to Controller as the platform continues to grow and acquire.

Responsibilities
- Own month-end, quarterly, and year-end close across multiple locations
- Manage daily accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets
- Prepare accurate financial statements and support budgeting and forecasting
- Collaborate with operations on route profitability, cost analysis, and variance reporting
- Develop internal controls and ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members across multiple sites
- Coordinate audit documentation and tax filings
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong month-end close, GL, and financial statement preparation experience
