We are excited to be partnering with a fast-paced organization looking to add Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across corporate accounting, revenue accounting, technical accounting, systems, controls, and process improvement.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning complex work, partnering across the business, and building a well-rounded foundation for long-term growth. The role includes participation in a structured rotational program providing strong mentorship, leadership visibility, and exposure to multiple areas of the accounting function.

This is a hybrid opportunity, must be local to the Twin Cities area to be considered.
 

Responsibilities

  • Own key pieces of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses
  • Research and document technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
  • Support areas such as lease accounting, capitalized software, accruals, payroll-related accounting, and purchase accounting
  • Partner with FP&A, revenue accounting, HR, and other internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Assist with SOX compliance, internal controls testing, and process documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, automate recurring tasks, and streamline accounting workflows
  • Work with systems and reporting tools including ERP, expense platforms, and financial reporting software
  • Use Excel and data analysis tools to review large datasets and provide meaningful insights

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Public company and/or SOX experience
  • Experience supporting audits and working through technical accounting issues
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • Experience with tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, OneStream, Tipalti, or Concur is a plus
  • Healthcare, SaaS, or public accounting experience is helpful but not required
