Our client is a well-established, independent investment management firm in downtown Minneapolis with a multi-decade track record and several billion dollars under management. As a true fiduciary with no proprietary products or conflicts of interest, the firm has built its reputation on disciplined, high-conviction investing and genuinely deep client relationships. They’re in active growth mode, having recently completed their first acquisition, and are expanding their client-facing team to match.

Responsibilities

As Relationship Manager, you'll take ownership of an established book of high-net-worth clients, ranging from a few million dollars up to relationships in the hundreds of millions, including significant multigenerational families and institutional and foundation accounts. This is a client-service and retention focused role, not a business development seat. You will be the trusted, primary point of contact for your clients, delivering an exceptional experience, deepening relationships, and building the kind of trust that turns clients into advocates. You'll have real ownership: running client reviews and meetings on your own cadence, staying closely attuned to each client's evolving goals and life events, and building financial plans independently using eMoney, with a planning team available for complex cases. You'll have enough command of the firm's investment approach to speak confidently to portfolio questions directly, with the investment team there to go deeper when needed. You will not be building a book from scratch. You will be trusted to run and grow one.

Desired Skills and Experience

-Approximately 10 years of direct client-facing experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a closely related field. -CFP or other financial planning certification preferred, or a genuine interest in pursuing it. -A relationship-first mindset: you measure success by client trust and retention, not just AUM growth -Someone who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit team environment
