A growing chemical manufacturer is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at a newly expanded production facility in Carrollton.

This individual will step into a highly visible leadership role during a period of significant growth and operational change. The organization is looking for a hands-on leader who can bring structure, accountability, and consistency to the operation while developing the team and building scalable processes to support future growth.

The Plant Manager will oversee chemical blending, filling, bottling, packaging, warehousing, and distribution while developing the team and building scalable processes to support future growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day plant operations across chemical blending, filling, bottling, packaging, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to the plant team and establish clear expectations around safety, accountability, productivity, and performance.
  • Lead the integration and consolidation of multiple legacy operations into one facility.
  • Establish production routines, operating procedures, schedules, KPIs, and accountability systems.
  • Assess the current organizational structure and develop the appropriate production, maintenance, engineering, and supervisory structure.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor plant leadership and hourly employees.
  • Support the relocation, commissioning, and stabilization of production equipment and processes.
  • Drive improvements in throughput, labor utilization, equipment reliability, quality, and overall plant performance.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, environmental regulations, hazardous-material requirements, SDS requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, documentation, labeling, and transportation of chemicals and raw materials.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality to maintain product specifications, process controls, and quality standards.
  • Manage plant operating expenses and identify opportunities for productivity improvement, cost reduction, and capital investment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, engineering, customer service, accounting, and commercial leadership.
  • Support continued growth of the operation while maintaining high levels of customer service and execution.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with several years in plant, operations, production, or manufacturing leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Proven change-management experience, ideally involving plant integrations, facility moves, operational turnarounds, rapid growth, or significant process change.
  • Experience within chemical manufacturing, hazardous materials, process manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, SDS requirements, hazardous-material handling, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Strong process-management and continuous-improvement background.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or similar methodologies preferred.
  • Experience working within an ERP system; Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
