Estimator
We’re excited to partner with a leading independent distributor of commercial building materials to help them find an Estimator to its Minneapolis team. This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible position combining material estimating, client development, sales, and project coordination.
The organization is a growing, family-owned business with employees across multiple Midwest locations. Its specialties business serves general contractors, subcontractors, building owners, and other commercial construction customers.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural plans and specifications and perform material takeoffs
- Develop accurate bids and identify alternative material solutions
- Manage RFIs, submittals, bid follow-up, and project documentation
- Coordinate procurement, delivery, timelines, and client communication
- Develop existing accounts and identify new business opportunities
- Visit clients and provide market intelligence and value-added solutions
- Track sales, estimating, and gross-margin performance
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3–5+ years of estimating, project coordination, sales, or related experience
- Commercial construction knowledge
- Strong construction-document and estimating skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Self-directed, entrepreneurial, relationship-oriented approach
