Director of Finance
SkyWater Search Partners is partnering with a growing, PE-backed manufacturing company on a newly created Director of Finance opportunity.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this person will lead FP&A and help continue to build out the function as the company grows. This is a highly visible role with exposure to the executive leadership team and private equity sponsor.
They are looking for someone who can dig into the numbers, understand what is happening across the business and communicate the story behind the results. This person needs to be comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, from building models and working through detailed analysis to presenting to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
Lead FP&A across budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and management reporting Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team on business performance, risks, opportunities and strategic decisions Analyze financial and operational results and help leadership understand the key drivers behind performance Develop and improve executive and board-level reporting Build financial models and business cases around investments, growth initiatives and other strategic decisions Work cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, Accounting, Supply Chain and other areas of the business Continue to improve FP&A processes, reporting and planning tools Coach and develop an existing FP&A Manager Over time, take on increased interaction with the company's private equity sponsor
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field required; MBA is a strong plus Strong FP&A experience with a background in budgeting, forecasting, modeling, reporting and business analysis Manufacturing experience PE-backed experience and/or experience working directly with a private equity sponsor is a strong plus Someone who has seen a strong FP&A function and can bring ideas around how to improve and elevate the current environment Strong business acumen and the ability to connect financial results to what is happening operationally and commercially Comfortable getting into the details and doing the work, not just managing from a distance Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to senior leadership Exposure to AI or automation within FP&A is also a plus
