Data Engineer
SkyWater’s client in Central Minnesota is transforming its data environment and seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help lead its migration from on-premises SQL Server to Microsoft Fabric.
The Opportunity:
This is a build-and-modernize role. You’ll design ingestion pipelines, develop Bronze/Silver/Gold transformations, build production notebooks and dbt models, and help translate legacy SQL and ETL processes into a modern Fabric architecture.
You’ll work directly with data architecture, analytics and business teams while gaining exposure to emerging AI capabilities and data-agent initiatives.
Ideal Background:
• Approximately 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Roughly 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric preferred
• Strong PySpark and/or Python skills
• Strong T-SQL and relational/dimensional modeling knowledge
• Experience building production data pipelines
• dbt, Power BI, Azure and Git-based development are valuable pluses
