Senior HR Generalist/HRBP

Location: North Metro, Twin Cities, MN (onsite) Type: Full-time, exempt Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000 base salary, plus benefits

Driven by strong demand in its industry, the company has grown rapidly over the past year and employs a few hundred people across production, engineering, and business functions. The Opportunity

The Senior HR Generalist joins a small, hands-on HR team at an exciting point. With the foundations in place, the team is now building the next phase of HR: new systems, new programs, and better ways to serve a quickly growing workforce. This role is a true senior generalist position, roughly half strategic and half hands-on, with ownership of select HR functions and a voice in shaping how HR delivers services across the company. It is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, shifting priorities, and the chance to build.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities -Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, and background and reference checks; coordinate temporary staffing and represent the company at career fairs -Onboard new employees and deliver new employee orientation -Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns -Partner with management on employee relations; conduct fair, thorough investigations and administer corrective action -Guide managers through performance management, including reviews, goal setting, and development plans -Support annual compensation planning and market benchmarking; advise on merit and promotional increases -Support benefits administration and open enrollment; educate employees on benefit and wellness offerings -Identify training needs, develop or source content, and deliver or coordinate training programs -Use HR data to deliver actionable insights to business leaders -Lead HR and organizational continuous improvement projects, such as system implementations and new program and policy rollouts -Drive employee engagement and retention strategies and foster an inclusive workplace -Update, interpret, and administer policies to ensure compliance and fairness

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience -5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a generalist role -Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or engineering organizations, including hourly and professional populations -Full-cycle recruiting and employee relations experience, including investigations -Strong coaching, influencing, and project management skills -Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution -Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills -Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HCM/HRIS systems -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative, and a passion for process improvement -Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information
