Senior Analyst, Private Equity Performance & Investor Reporting
We are partnered with an established institutional investment organization who is seeking a newly created role for a Senior Analyst, Private Equity Performance & Investor Reporting to support its private equity and co-investment portfolio.
This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and clarity of investment performance reporting for senior investment leadership and external investors. The position combines private markets performance analytics, investor reporting, portfolio monitoring, and executive-level communication.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of private equity performance metrics, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities
-Prepare and validate periodic reporting for limited partners, co-investors, and other external stakeholders. -Reconcile performance data across fund administrators, custodians, and internal books and records. -Own reporting calendars, quality-control processes, and documentation to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent deliverables. -Coordinate responses to investor reporting inquiries with internal investment, operations, legal, and compliance teams. -Prepare quarterly private equity and co-investment portfolio reporting for senior investment leadership. -Analyze portfolio performance, exposures, investment pacing, cash flows, and material portfolio developments. -Identify and communicate performance outliers, valuation changes, and significant portfolio or governance issues. -Translate detailed financial information into concise, polished executive-level reporting and analysis. -Compile realized investment performance for portfolio exits, including proceeds, holding periods, gross and net multiples, and IRR. -Compare realized outcomes against original underwriting assumptions. -Standardize exit reporting to support consistent performance comparisons across fund vintages and investment sponsors. -Partner with investment professionals to incorporate relevant qualitative context into exit analyses. -Produce recurring performance reporting across private equity and co-investment strategies. -Maintain and enhance performance data infrastructure and reporting processes. -Benchmark portfolio results against relevant public and private market indices and peer data. -Support related operational and compliance requirements, including applicable clearance procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
-Bachelor's degree required. Approximately 4–5 years of relevant experience in private equity, fund accounting, fund finance, fund administration, investment operations, or portfolio performance reporting. -Strong understanding of private equity performance metrics, including IRR, MOIC, TVPI, and DPI, and the underlying cash flows and valuations used to calculate them. -Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial data, investment performance calculations, and reporting processes. -Experience preparing investor-facing reports, portfolio performance analysis, or materials for senior investment leadership. -Exceptional attention to detail, analytical judgment, and commitment to data accuracy. -Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly. -Ability to manage recurring reporting deadlines, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and independently own deliverables with minimal rework. -Experience with a portfolio monitoring, fund accounting, performance reporting, or CRM platform is preferred.
