Accountant
SkyWater is thrilled to be partnering with one of our long-time clients, a privately held financial services company in the Twin Cities, to add an Accountant to their team! We’ve worked with their leadership team for years, and their accounting leaders all came up through public accounting.
This team is in rebuild mode (!!!) – which means you’ll get to touch a little bit of everything, actually fix things, and be in on the ground floor of a NetSuite implementation. That’s a HUGE resume builder at this level, plus real multi-entity and consolidation experience most accountants don’t get this early.
For this role, we need –
• A really strong accountant with solid debits and credits
• Someone who loves tech – ERPs, Excel, and figuring out where the data flows
• Bigger company experience (not a mom and pop shop)
This one is for someone who WANTS to be in the office – who gets energy from coming in, being around the team, and working with senior leaders. If you’re looking to find more ways to work from home, this isn’t the one.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries for cash and deal-related activity in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Review the Salesforce-to-ERP reconciliation throughout the month and investigate exceptions
- Reconcile assigned bank accounts within month-end close deadlines
- Research and resolve reconciling items and variances, partnering with teams across the business
- Maintain advanced workbooks using macros and ODBC connections
- Support the transition to NetSuite and identify ways to improve and automate processes
- Other ad hoc procedures, as deemed necessary
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA or pursuing CPA preferred
- Multi-entity or consolidation experience preferred
- NetSuite, Dynamics GP, or Salesforce experience, plus strong Excel (macros, Power Query a plus)
- Mortgage banking, financial services, or commercial real estate experience a plus
- Curious, tech-savvy, and driven to improve processes
