Accounting Manager
We are partnering with a well-established environmental products platform to help identify an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant or a current Accounting Manager who wants broader ownership, direct exposure to leadership, and the ability to make a visible impact inside a hands-on, entrepreneurial business.
This role offers the chance to step beyond a traditional corporate accounting seat and become the primary accounting partner for a locally operated business. You’ll work closely with operations leadership and corporate finance while helping improve processes, reporting, and financial visibility across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and review account reconciliations for all major balance sheet accounts
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash reporting, and daily accounting operations
- Analyze trends and variances across revenue, inventory, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses
- Partner with operations and sales leadership to provide actionable business insights
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning activities
- Assist with inventory accounting, product costing, and inventory-related controls
- Oversee and support AP/AR processes, collections activity, and general ledger accuracy
- Improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and internal controls
- Help document procedures and build more scalable accounting processes
- Support audit readiness and intercompany accounting activities
- Collaborate closely with leadership across accounting, operations, and corporate finance
- Provide guidance and oversight to accounting support staff on transactional accounting activities
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a product-based, distribution, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, or inventory-heavy environment
- Strong understanding of month-end close and account reconciliation processes
- Comfortable operating in a highly hands-on role with broad responsibilities
- Experience supporting AP/AR, collections, and day-to-day accounting operations
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting controls
- Self-starter who can work independently and improve processes in a growing environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with operational leaders
