Business Development Manager-Contract Manufacturing
SkyWater is partnering with a leading Minneapolis-based contract manufacturing and commercial services company. This role blends strategic sales, account management, and advocacy for their impactful mission.
They’re hiring a Strategic Business Development & Client Growth Manager to drive revenue growth while building and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong ‘hunter’ mentality, ability to maintain strong relationships with an existing client base and proven ability to deliver results.
Ability to travel throughout the state of Minnesota, as well as Wisconsin and Iowa are required, with heaviest focus being near the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Business Development and Market Growth (70%)
- Actively pursue and acquire new B2B clients in commercial and medical services industries.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead identification to closing contracts, including outreach, presentations, negotiations, and final agreements.
- Develop and execute plans to enter new markets and expand their presence in untapped sectors.
- Maintain an organized, up-to-date sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting using HubSpot (or other CRM).
- Represent their vision and services at industry trade shows, conferences, and professional networking events to build brand awareness. Client Relationship Management and Growth (30%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering loyalty and ensuring their ongoing success.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships to enhance client retention and identify expansion opportunities.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for upselling or cross-selling to maximize account value.
- Collaborate with operations, customer support, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional, seamless client experiences.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in sales, client management, or account growth roles.
- Proven ability to secure new business while expanding existing client accounts.
- Background in service-based industries (e.g., packaging, manufacturing, or healthcare/medical) is desired.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of exceeding revenue and client retention goals.
- Proficient in HubSpot CRM (or comparable platforms) Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Sales certifications (e.g., Sandler, HubSpot) are a plus but not mandatory.
