Civil/Environmental Engineer
Project Civil/Environmental Engineer with experience in civil or environmental design to support solid waste and environmental infrastructure projects. This role offers exposure to diverse projects – from landfill and recycling facility design to stormwater and grading systems – with the flexibility to work hybrid in the St Paul area or remotely within the region.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of plans/specs for landfills, recycling facilities, and waste transfer stations
- Apply civil engineering expertise to grading, stormwater, containment, liner, piping, and gas system designs
- Oversee project execution including plan sets, permitting, compliance, and construction oversight
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and project teams to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a well-rounded, team-first culture
- Manage technical tasks within scope, schedule, and budget while driving innovation and continuous improvement
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 24 months
- 5+ years of engineering design/project experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools
- Background in solid waste, stormwater, wastewater, agricultural, or related environmental systems
