We’re excited to be partnering with a long-standing SkyWater client to help them identify their next Controller. Our client is a growing, private-equity-backed manufacturing organization to identify a Controller who will lead the accounting and finance function for a high-volume production facility. This role will serve as the senior finance partner to site leadership and play a key role in strengthening financial processes, reporting, and cost visibility as the business continues to scale. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the site - Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, inventory accounting, and cost accounting - Partner with operations to analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and KPIs - Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis - Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting processes - Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance - Develop and mentor a small accounting and finance team - Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization - Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making

Desired Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA or CMA preferred, but not required - Approximately 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience - Manufacturing accounting experience required - Strong cost accounting background - Experience leading or mentoring accounting/finance staff - Experience owning or heavily contributing to the financial close process - ERP experience and strong Excel skills - Ability to partner cross-functionally with operations leadership
