Salary: Up to 200K+ bonus potential
Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week (Mont/Tue/Thursday)
Location: Owatonna, MN
Commute from the South Metro:
- 35–40 minutes from Lakeville
- 40–45 minutes from Burnsville
- 45–50 minutes from Bloomington
We are partnering with a privately held, growing manufacturer south of the cities to hire a Controller to lead a team of 16 person accounting team and own the financial operations of a growing, multi-brand business.
This is a great fit for an experienced leader with a manufacturing background who wants to lead, build, and improve, not just maintain. There is a clear path upward, direct access to senior leadership, and exciting projects that you can put your stamp on quickly (process improvement work, integration, and Big Data/AI.).

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a 16-person accounting team
- Own period close, financial statements, inventory valuation, fixed assets, and product costing
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation across multiple brands and locations
- Lead ERP integration work for two newly acquired entities
- Coordinate year-end audit and quarterly bank compliance reporting
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership progression (manufacturing industry experience is needed)
- Cost accounting exposure
- Mid-sized ERP experience; interest in Power BI or AI tools is a plus
