Database Administrator
I’m partnered with a good client to help them bring on a DBA (SQL now going towards Azure and NoSQL down the road). This will be their first dedicated DBA so they are looking for someone with a strong foundation who is comfortable being the go to resource.

This is a hybrid role which you requires to be on-site 2-3 days a week at an office centrally located in the Twin Cities.
For a qualified candidate they are offering a six figure base, bonus, profit sharing, 3% 401K contribution, and a strong medical benefits program.

Responsibilities
* Own SQL Server environments (performance tuning, patching, backups) Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) * Blend hands-on SQL Server ownership with modernization and AI-readiness initiatives. *Build monitoring and alerting to proactively resolve issues *Support modernization efforts, including cloud migration and emerging technologies like NoSQL, vector databases, and Azure-native services *Contribute to data readiness for AI/ML and high availability / disaster recovery strategies
Desired Skills and Experience
* 5 + years of professional experience * BS/BA in MIS, Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience in lieu of degree * Strong soft skills *Experience with going from on-prem to the cloud
