Database Administrator
SkyWater’s client in Central Minnesota is adding a Database Administrator to support a critical SQL Server environment while investing heavily in the future of its data organization.
This is an opportunity for a technically curious IT professional to move beyond basic support and develop meaningful ownership of database administration under the mentorship of an experienced data architecture team.
The Role:
You will monitor and maintain production SQL Server environments, perform backups and restores, troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues, manage database access, monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, support production applications and develop T-SQL queries and scripts. You’ll also help strengthen documentation, security and operational standards.
What We’re Looking For:
• 2+ years of database administration, IT support, SQL development or related experience
• Solid SQL Server and relational database fundamentals
• Working knowledge of T-SQL
• Familiarity with SSMS and production troubleshooting
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation over time
