Director, Supply Chain Planning
A growing global manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Planning to lead end-to-end planning operations for a major North American business unit. This leader will be responsible for driving planning strategy, leading the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and advancing planning capabilities across demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, and materials planning.
This role will oversee a large planning organization supporting multiple manufacturing facilities and will partner closely with operations, commercial, and finance leadership to improve service levels, optimize inventory, and support long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, finance, and commercial teams.
- Oversee demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, and materials planning across a multi-site manufacturing network.
- Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and customer service levels.
- Lead initiatives to enhance planning maturity and transform planning processes across the organization.
- Partner with senior leadership and plant operations teams to align planning strategy with operational capabilities.
- Develop and mentor a team of planning managers and professionals across multiple locations.
- Establish a long-term planning strategy to support continued business growth and operational excellence.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, operations, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading S&OP or integrated business planning processes.
- Experience operating within a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and driving organizational change or process transformation.
