Employment Litigation Associate Attorney
Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Chicago office and become part of a nationally recognized management-side employment practice. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for employers ranging from emerging companies to Fortune 500 organizations, while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive platform that emphasizes professional development and client exposure.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–5 years of labor and employment law experience.
- Experience handling employment litigation matters, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, witness interviews, and court appearances.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour issues, discrimination and harassment claims, leave and accommodation matters, restrictive covenants, and workplace investigations.
- Experience advising employers on workplace law issues, employee relations, employment agreements, policies, reductions in force, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong academic credentials, excellent writing and communication skills, and Illinois bar admission.
- Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
