Food Safety & Quality Manager
SkyWater Search Partners has been retained by a growing food manufacturer to find their next Food Safety & Quality Manager! Our client is a small business with strong momentum (roughly 15% growth year-over-year), and they’re looking for someone who can own the FSQ program end-to-end. This is a hands-on, highly visible position working directly with the executive team and cross-functional department leaders. You’ll work directly with suppliers, regulatory bodies, and customers while maintaining & improving FSQ programs. Responsibilities
- Leading investigations and CAPA projects for food safety & quality incidents.
- Conduct line audits and monthly GMP inspections to verify food safety procedures are being followed.
- Lead supplier audits and resolve any food safety & quality issues when needed.
- Work directly with regulatory agencies and act as the point of contact to these agencies (FDA, USDA, etc.).
- Internal audit leadership and preparation for GFSI certification.
- Lead food safety and GMP training / coaching across operations & production teams.
- Oversee product specification and label compliance.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Food Safety & Quality roles (or equivalent FSQ experience).
- HACCP, PCQI, or FSQ Practitioner certifications preferred.
- Experience developing new or improving existing FSQ programs.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
