We’re looking for a Sales Representative to join a 50+ year old, family-owned, independent building materials distributor with a rock-solid reputation across the Midwest commercial construction market. Based out of Des Moines, this role walks into an established book of business and territory covering the Cedar Rapids and Quad Cities corridor, so you’re not starting from zero.
This is a true full sales cycle role. You’ll quote with pricing autonomy, manage special-order material and project timelines, and build long-term relationships with repeat clients you’ll talk to multiple times a week. If you’re the type who picks up the phone to uncover the next opportunity instead of waiting for it to land in your inbox, this is for you.
Compensation is base plus uncapped commission, with a target of $100K-$150K in year 1 and real upside beyond that as you grow your book ($250k+), plus a strong training and onboarding runway to get you there.
This is an in-office role in Des Moines, though a Quad Cities-based hire is highly worth consideration given the growth push into that market.
