The Opportunity
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will support the firm’s tax compliance and accounting functions across a broad range of entity types including individuals, trusts, partnerships, and portfolio companies. You will work closely with senior leadership and external advisors in a collaborative, hands-on role with a clear path for growth into deal-side exposure over time.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain tax workpapers for individuals, trusts, foundations, LLCs, partnerships, and corporations
Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns
Prepare quarterly tax estimates and respond to tax notices and governmental inquiries
Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors
Record monthly general ledger entries for investment and trust accounting
Perform account reconciliations and support monthly and year-end close processes
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
Assist with quarterly investor allocations, reporting, and distributions
Handle confidential financial and personal information with discretion
Qualifications
3 to 5 plus years of public accounting tax experience, regional firm background strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Core experience with partnerships (1065s), individuals (1040s), and trusts (1041s)
Strong tax foundation with solid understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Sage/Peachtree and tax software a plus
Familiarity with private equity or family office environments is a plus
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Collaborative, curious, and comfortable working directly with senior leadership in a smaller team environment

This person will also evaluate and build the current team that reports to this role. This person will also be a part of the executive team driving the “Mission 430” which is their goal of significantly growing the bank.

Oversees the Banks Information Technology and Information Security systems and practices. Directs and manages the Bank’s technology and data processing. Acts as an administrator for network software access set up and testing. Liaise with third party service providers and monitors and oversees their activities to ensure sound practices related to information technology and security. Performs various IT and Cyber security risk assessments.
