A growing manufacturer in the building materials sector is seeking a General Manager to lead its Kansas City-area production facility. This position carries full operational and financial responsibility for manufacturing site and plays a key role in shaping a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead all financial aspects of the operation including budget development, monthly P&L management, and action planning to achieve profitability and performance goals.
- Build and sustain a high-performing team through active coaching, development, and recognition. Promote a culture that values learning, innovation, respect, and professionalism.
- Define and execute business strategies that strengthen customer relationships, improve service delivery, and support long-term growth.
- Oversee all production, logistics, and customer service functions, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Drive ongoing process and performance improvements, encouraging innovation and accountability across all departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required
- Minimum 5 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including direct P&L accountability.
- Background in building products or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Proven leadership in driving operational and financial success through teamwork and disciplined execution.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
