Job Opportunity: Experienced Paving Superintendent

Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing organization in the paving industry, is seeking an experienced Paving Superintendent to oversee their paving and milling operations. This full-time, salaried position offers a competitive salary, full benefits, company vehicle, and gas card. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality and safety, and a proven track record of working effectively with engineers and contractors.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all paving and milling operations to ensure smooth project execution.

Maintain communication with asphalt suppliers and place advanced material orders as needed.
- Organize equipment mobilizations and schedule trucking to meet production demands.
- Only responsible for one large crew and one project at a time.

Conduct site inspections prior to paving mobilizations.

Collaborate with engineers and contractors, providing updates and addressing concerns.

Negotiate change orders and resolve issues as they arise.
- Submit daily progress reports, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within specifications.
- Work will be primarily focused on municipal streets, residential developments, and commercial parking lots.
Position Requirements

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and typical sections.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.

In-depth knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and required equipment.

Expertise in meeting density requirements and ensuring project quality.

Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Strong mathematical skills for accurately calculating quantities and cutoffs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary up $130,000 base (commensurate with experience).
- Company truck and gas card.
- Site based – You would only be required in the office once a week to discuss scheduling.
