Maintenance & Facilities Manager
SkyWater is partnering with a privately held manufacturer based in the Sioux Falls area who’s looking to hire a Maintenance & Facilities Manager for their team! Our client has been in business almost 50 years, they have operations across the globe and they primarily serve the agricultural, construction, & automotive sectors. This role is open due to a recent promotion and will work closely with the Plant Manager to make a big impact on the plant. The Maintenance & Facilities Manager will lead a team of 12 technicians and will own equipment reliability, develop preventive maintenance plans, troubleshoot equipment, and support capital equipment projects. Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and oversee a team of 12 maintenance and facilities technicians.
- Set daily and weekly maintenance priorities alongside the Plant Manager and production leadership to minimize downtime.
- Own the reliability and availability of production equipment, tooling, and facility systems plant-wide.
- Develop and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Lead troubleshooting & repair of equipment using structured root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Manage plant utility and facility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, water, sewer, electrical, and process gases.
- Plan and coordinate facility repairs, improvements, and capital projects in partnership with Engineering and Operations.
- Manage outside contractors, service providers, and key suppliers.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing a maintenance or facilities team.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and machine controls .
- Experience managing preventive maintenance through a CMMS or similar system.
- PLC programming, robotics, automotive manufacturing, or similar experience is a plus.
