Manufacturing Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minneapolis to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their growing team! This is a brand-new role created due to growth and customer demand for their products. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing tooling & fixtures to be used in their manufacturing processes. This person will also look for manufacturing process improvements, train operators & technicians, and partner with internal engineering teams on manufacturing & process improvement projects. Our client is a scaling electronics manufacturer who partners with some of the most well-known aerospace & defense manufacturers in the industry. Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and implement tooling & fixtures for production.
- Train operators & technicians on tooling use and provide technical support.
- Look for manufacturing process improvements and cost-savings opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams as needed (design, production, etc.).
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues as needed.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, tooling, or similar engineering role (or combination of roles).
- Experience working in a tight-tolerance or high precision manufacturing environment highly preferred (medical, aerospace, etc.).
- Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and manage multiple tasks at a time.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal & written).
