SkyWater is partnering with a well-established, growing industrial equipment manufacturer to hire a Manufacturing Manager for their team! This is a high-visibility leadership role where you’ll run your own area at a plant of theirs in the North Metro. You’ll lead a large team across multiple shifts, own safety for your division, oversee product quality, implement lean manufacturing principles, look for efficiencies & cost-savings opportunities, lead capital equipment projects and much more. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 90 people across multiple shifts, including assemblers, machinists, production planners, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Coach, develop and lead the team while handling performance reviews, cross-training team members, and succession planning when needed.
  • Work with engineering, quality, supply chain, maintenance, finance and HR groups. Make sure new products and process changes launch smoothly on the manufacturing floor.
  • Build and oversee the annual operating plan: labor hours, staffing, capacity, budgets, and productivity targets.
  • Own the safety, quality, and delivery within the division while maintaining a strong presence on the floor & building rapport with team members.
  • Justify capital projects through a structured ROI process and lead approved projects within this area.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. o MBA or Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing or operations experience, with at least 3 years leading manufacturing or production teams. o Experience leading larger teams preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) with the ability to work with employees at various levels of an organization.
  • Experience managing budgets, understanding cost variances, and improving manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Lean, six sigma or other continuous improvement training highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a machining or assembly environment preferred.
