SkyWater is partnering with a long-standing industrial technology client who is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support their growing business in the north metro.

In this role, you would have the benefit of being part of a large, highly skilled, and collaborative HR team while also having the autonomy, ownership, and accountability of supporting your own client group on all talent management matters. 

This role operates withing a manufacturing plant environment and required to be onsite 5 days/week. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted people strategist for a fast-growing, high-demand manufacturing campus, helping leaders scale teams, strengthen culture, and build the infrastructure needed for sustained growth.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to drive performance, solve complex workforce challenges, and influence decisions through data, insights, and practical guidance.
  • Lead and elevate core people initiatives including talent acquisition, performance management, career development, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations.
  • Coach leaders at all levels to strengthen accountability, improve team dynamics, and create high-performing, engaged work environments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance leadership capability, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness while reinforcing company values and culture.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across the organization to provide strategic counsel on people, leadership, and organizational matters.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with compensation, benefits, payroll, and systems teams to deliver seamless people solutions and operational support.
  • Ensure accurate employee data management and maintain integrity across people systems and organizational records.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
  • 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience, including at least 1 year supporting a production environment
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including a basic understanding of MN employment laws
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, decision-making, and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly
