Senior Accountant

We’re partnering with a well-established, growth-oriented manufacturing company to find a hands-on, analytical Senior Accountant. This is a highly visible role on a tight-knit team where you’ll go beyond the close, diving into cost analysis, process improvement, and building smarter systems as the company evolves.

Responsibilities
- This is a broad, high-impact role that blends traditional accounting with analysis and continuous improvement:
- Own key aspects of the month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve variances
- Support cost accounting and operational analysis, including labor and product costing
- Partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights and performance reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking for business units
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation
- Support AR processes, aging analysis, and collections insights
- Contribute to audit support and ensure strong internal controls
- Help drive ERP optimization and system improvements (including involvement in a major system implementation)
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and reduce manual work
- Document and standardize procedures to improve consistency across the team
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or distribution strongly preferred)
- Exposure to cost accounting or strong interest in developing in that area
- Solid understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes
- Strong Excel skills (ability to work with large data sets and build insights)
- Experience working in an ERP environment (manufacturing systems a plus)
- Analytical mindset—you don’t just report numbers, you interpret them
- Ability to operate in a less structured, fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
