We are partnering with a growing, fast-paced organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers broad exposure across accounting operations, project accounting, fixed assets, and lease accounting, while partnering closely with teams throughout the business. This is a hybrid opportunity, one day per week onsite in the East Metro.
 

Responsibilities

  • Own fixed asset, project, and lease accounting processes, partnering with business stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage accounting activities related to fixed assets, intangibles, projects in process, and lease accounting
  • Analyze and report on fixed asset activity, capital projects, and projects in process
  • Support month-end close activities and help maintain the integrity of the general ledger
  • Partner with field operations and corporate departments to provide accounting guidance and support
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and ongoing operational efficiencies
  • Lead smaller projects or support key initiatives within broader cross-functional projects
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Experience supporting month-end close and general ledger activities
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including working with large and complex data sets
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly
