SkyWater Search Partners is partnering with a fast-growing, privately held Midwest food manufacturer on a confidential Senior Finance Manager search.

The Senior Finance Manager will serve as a key business partner across accounting, FP&A, and operations, leading month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, pricing analysis, and operational decision support. This role will have the opportunity to influence how the business scales over the coming years.

We’re looking for someone with 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within manufacturing. Food manufacturing or CPG experience is highly preferred, along with a hands-on leadership style and a passion for partnering with operations to drive better business decisions.

Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Business Partnership Partner with ownership and executive leadership on strategic decisions, growth initiatives, pricing strategies, margin improvement, capital investments, and ROI analysis. Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance reviews. Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting that provide visibility into sales, operations, supply chain, and overall business performance. Deliver meaningful financial analysis and operational insights that support data-driven decision making across the organization. Support cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and capital allocation planning. Identify opportunities to improve profitability through pricing analysis, margin optimization, and operational performance initiatives. Accounting & Financial Operations Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Oversee core accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll interface, and general ledger integrity. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting standards. Coordinate relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other financial partners. Leadership & Process Improvement Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team while building organizational capabilities for future growth. Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting, systems, and internal controls. Help build scalable financial infrastructure that supports continued growth and operational excellence. Serve as a trusted financial advisor and strategic business partner to leadership during a transformational stage of the company's growth.

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience within manufacturing, food production, CPG, or another product-based industry. Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, financial reporting, and operational finance. Strong business partnering experience supporting executive leadership, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Demonstrated experience evaluating business performance, pricing strategies, margin optimization, capital investments, and ROI initiatives. Experience leading month-end close and overseeing accounting operations Experience working within high-growth, entrepreneurial, or scaling organizations where systems, processes, and reporting capabilities were actively being built and enhanced.
