This role opened due to a promotion and comes at a time of strong company growth, over 2 billion this year through both organic growth and M&A. This position is a great fit for industry financial analysts or public accountants in audit who are interested in moving into a more analytical, business-focused role. Only local candidates in the Twin Cities will be considered.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose Support the VP of Sales and senior management by providing commercial finance insights, pricing guidance, and analysis to drive profitable growth. Act as a strategic business partner, translating data into actionable recommendations for sales, operations, and R&D. Key Responsibilities Develop pricing strategies and provide timely recommendations to the sales team. Partner with R&D and operations on new product launches, providing cost targets and guidance for formulation decisions. Analyze customer and item-level profitability and provide actionable insights to the business. Evaluate inflation trends by category and recommend pricing adjustments to protect margins. Maintain rate planning scenarios and ensure accuracy in profitability modeling tools. Monitor customer profitability and collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns. Support month-end reporting, system allocations, and ad hoc financial analysis. Contribute to annual planning by analyzing key customer data and supporting forecasts. Ensure compliance with all food safety requirements, policies, and procedures. Participate in special projects and other finance initiatives as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting 3+ years of experience in financial analysis and data management or Public Accounting Audit Strong financial skills with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, make recommendations, and clearly communicate financial concepts Able to maintain confidentiality, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working cross-functionally and engaging with different levels of management
