A growing, innovation-driven food manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manager of Regulatory & Compliance to lead enterprise-wide food safety, regulatory, and supplier quality programs. This is a high-impact role supporting a fast-scaling organization with a strong focus on quality, transparency, and continuous improvement.
This position operates at a corporate level, partnering across operations, R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure products meet all regulatory, customer, and internal standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage regulatory compliance programs across the organization, ensuring adherence to FDA, USDA, FSMA, and GFSI standards
  • Oversee supplier quality management, including qualification, audits, and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Direct food safety and microbiology programs, including testing protocols, environmental monitoring, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of product labeling and packaging (ingredients, allergens, claims, nutrition)
  • Analyze food safety and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during audits, inspections, and customer interactions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality and compliance systems

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in food safety, quality, or regulatory compliance within food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. food safety regulations and GFSI-recognized standards
  • Experience with supplier quality programs and audit processes
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to drive quality and compliance improvements
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner, or Lead Auditor (preferred)
