SkyWater is partnering with a successful general contractor in the Twin Cities who’s looking for a Sr. Project Manager for their team! Our client is privately held, they’ve been in business for over 70 years, they have multiple locations across the US, and they’ve been growing at fast clip over the last few years (around 30% growth). This role is open due to a recent promotion, and we’re looking for someone who can own the full lifecycle of large, complex construction projects. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects while overseeing project scope, budgets, schedules, and profitability while maintaining client satisfaction. This role will focus on projects in the healthcare & life science space and will work on these projects across the US. We’re looking for an experienced construction Project Manager, who has led the full lifecycle of construction projects within the healthcare, life science, education or similar sector. Responsibilities

  • Lead projects throughout their entire lifecycles while managing project scope, schedules, budgets, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Lead preconstruction efforts including RFP responses, estimate reviews, etc.
  • Champion Lean construction principles and company best practices across projects.
  • Participate in business development activities including client events, industry conferences, and lead identification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years managing large construction projects. Ideally working on projects within healthcare, higher education, life sciences, or similar sectors.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel domestically (around 25%).
