The Opportunity

An established and highly profitable infrastructure services company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its leadership team during an exciting period of growth.

This is not simply a project management position—it is an opportunity to become a future operational leader within the organization. Working directly with the President, you will initially focus on leading complex projects, supporting field operations, and strengthening execution across the business. As you become immersed in the organization, you will progressively assume broader operational responsibilities, allowing the President to focus on strategic growth initiatives.

The company is seeking someone who wants to build a long-term career, influence how the business operates, and ultimately grow into a larger leadership role as the organization continues to expand. This role offers significant visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to participate in the company’s long-term success through an equity incentive program.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager serves as the operational right hand to the President, overseeing customer projects while helping improve the systems, processes, and operational discipline needed to support a growing organization.

Success in this role will be measured not only by project execution, but by the ability to develop people, improve operations, build scalable processes, and take on increasing leadership responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from estimating and planning through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate field crews, equipment, subcontractors, vendors, and project resources.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Oversee proposals, bids, contracts, submittals, permitting, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve project risks while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
  • Partner directly with the President on operational planning, workload balancing, and business priorities.
  • Improve project management systems, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Support hiring, mentoring, and development of field and project personnel.
  • Help establish the operational infrastructure required to support future company growth.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and assume increasing operational leadership responsibilities.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of project management or operations leadership experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, industrial services, mechanical contracting, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects while coordinating field operations.
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where leaders wear multiple hats.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Why This Opportunity
  • Work directly with the President and help shape the future of the organization.
  • Clear path into broader operations and business leadership.
  • Opportunity to build systems rather than simply manage projects.
  • High visibility with meaningful influence over company direction.
  • Competitive compensation, equity participation, and relocation assistance. Long-Term Career Path This position is intentionally designed for someone who aspires to lead more than projects. As the business grows, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition into broader operational leadership with responsibility for people, processes, multiple business units, and strategic initiatives. Potential career progression includes Director of Operations, General Manager, or Regional Operations Leadership.
